What I believe about therapy

Whether you are overwhelmed with current problems or your past experiences are interfering with your life now, I want to help you overcome all that you are struggling with. Developing insight into your emotions, past experiences, and your decisions, empower you to feel more in control of your life, find the direction you want to take, and eventually become the person you want to be. I will help you develop effective skills that will highlight your strengths and uncover your potentials. My non-judgmental, engaged, and warm approach to therapy helps my clients feel safe, understood, and willing to explore more challenging aspects of their lives and personalities. Having a balanced mind and life is important and I strive to help you achieve that balance. By working together, we can help you become more emotionally intelligent, in control of your life, and discover hope.

My area of expertise is in working with individuals and or couples who are in inter-cultural relationships and are looking to enhance their understanding of each other and their relationship through a culturally competent lens. I also specialize in working with young professionals who experience high stress life transitions such as relocating, career change, and divorce as well as familial/relational conflicts, grief and loss, cross-cultural issues, issues related to sexuality and gender, and concerns regarding self-esteem. I understand that my clients come from different backgrounds, with unique needs, and various goals, thus I tailor interventions accordingly. I have over five years of clinical experience conducting psychological treatment to a wide range of clients with various needs and backgrounds. I also have specific interest and experience in doing research related to ideology and impact of infidelity in romantic relationships.
